Announcing...Pastor Chuck! Announcing...Pastor Chuck!

Well, looks like God may be doing some different things with us, this year.
We went to the Tucson Race track [Memorial Day Weekend]and our friend, Daniel, was there.
He had n
o one to do the announcing of the things going on at the track or give reports over the mike, etc.

WELL, Chuck volunteered to help.

We received lots of comments from some of the Racers stating that he had done a good job. He announced both days. Chaplain Mark had said "Do what needed to be done." Looks like that's what God wanted done. So we did our best.

Praise the Lord,
       Jane

I Have a Dream... I Have a Dream...

I have had a dream to have a TV show that was about Christians in Motor Sports.

In my dream I'd interview Christian drivers, mechanics, owners, fans and sponsors. They would give their testimony and then at the end I would give a live altar call...

I did a little research and was told it would cost $10,000 to $50,000 for just a pilot to be shot...It is roughly $1000 per minute..
Well that was out of the question so I just did Isaiah 40:31 and waited..

On Sunday morning, April 02 2006, the photographer from Fox Sport News AND ESPN came to our chapel service at Speedworld Raceway Park for the Pontiac Heaven race.
We gave out prizes of tow straps for people who could answer questions that we asked about racing stuff.
A racer from California (Dill Brandow) did not have a tow strap to get his car to tech inspection so he said "forget it I'll just go to chapel service." ...and wouldn't ya know... he won one of the tow straps.
Following the service Dill told the guy from FSN (Gil Rebilas) what had happened. Gil then asked if I would interview Dill for the weekly Saturday TV show Motor Sports Mania.
I just about came unglued... and of course we did the interview.
Praise to Jesus.

Later that evening, after the race, Jane and I went to our Sunday Evening Church Service. We got to laughing real hard during the song service when Jane reminded me that we had gotten those cherished tow straps out of the dumpster at Auto Zone.

We had gone to Auto Zone to get some boxes to package up carburetors to ship (our son has a carburetor shop ). Auto Zone had discarded some of their old stock (brand new straps). We asked the manager if it was a mistake; "No" he told us "You can take it all... have a yard sale."
I winked at my wife and said I know exactly what I'm going to do with this stuff.
...and you know the rest... Our God orchestrated this whole thing before our eyes, and it didn't cost the Kingdom a dime!

The Interview...
